See what we've been doing to build a bright ministry future in Jordan MN... Join us on the Mission!
Jordan Facility videoWorking to fulfill our mission through the pandemicThrough this pandemic, with much careful planning, we have been blessed with wonderful ministry opportunities in Jordan Minnesota. Together with the support and participation of committed community members we have been able to carefully & safely navigate the ever changing impact, orders, and mandates associated with Covid -19. It's not that we've been able to do all that we hoped to do this year, but we were blessed to have been able to host numerous youth ministry activities and continue to build toward a bright future at the amazing Hub of Jordan.
The Hub of Jordan: We are blessed to be able to safely utilize the beautiful Hub of Jordan to host Youth Ministry events. We are working toward making this our space our center for ministry so that when we are able to gather again in large numbers we can host amazing ministry events, retreats, worship, concerts and more for the community and beyond. Youth Outreach Events: Fun & Faith nurturing Drop-Ins and Outdoor youth ministry events for High School and Middle School aged students. Service Events: that help youth and families to live out their faith in Christ by serving those in need in the community. Our socially responsible food drive gleaned more than 10,000 pounds of food for the local food shelf. -Student Leadership Ministry: "Go Team" calls young people on a mission to use their gifts and talents to plan and host ministry events, gatherings, service projects, positively impact other young people and the community as a whole. Jordan Breakfast Club Team: We are grateful to be in a support role for the Breakfast Club ministry in Jordan where numerous Jordan parents serve breakfast to up to 50 youth, along with a gospel message, prayer and hangout time on Friday mornings before school. Live Stream Ministry: We were able to help by making it possible to live stream broadcast Breakfast Club meetings last Spring after Covid-19 closed the schools and limited in person gatherings. We partnered with W-NAV in Bloomington who provided equipment & expertise for these events and were able to reach nearly 200 households. Service Ministry: We are grateful that we are able to continue to grow in our partnership with Good in the Hood. We are a part of feeding the thousands of families in need in the greater Twin City Metro area on a consistent basis. We look forward to providing youth and family focused service events and mission trips in the future though this growing partnership. Kinship Cookies & Coffee: We have been in preliminary testing stages a potential Business as Mission model that works to impact the lives of youth. Through Kinship Cookies we hope to offer employment and job training, opportunities for leadership, helps with a sense of purpose, and a supportive Christian community. Our hope is that Kinship Cookie will also help to provide revenue to help us to expand our mission to numerous communities in the coming years. |
Side By Side is a Non-profit 501c3 organization which is fully funded by the generosity of those who'd like to join our mission to serve young people.
Connecting Youth with Christ by Serving His peopleSide By Side is partnering with Good In the 'Hood to serve families in need. For the last year or so our ministry has been excited to work along side of GITH to care for people in need of food, shoes, and spiritual nourishment. This has lead us to work toward the development of local mission models for youth and families. We look forward to opportunities to engage groups in ministry that calls us to live our faith out in word and deed.
